SEO for Homecare handles franchise home care marketing in search: one Google Business Profile per location, location pages with real local substance, clear territory rules, and reporting for each franchisee plus a roll-up for the franchisor.

Sound familiar?

The frustrations we hear most

Two franchisees rank for the same town and split the calls, while a competitor takes the top spot.

Location pages were cloned from one template, and most of them never rank.

Duplicate or unverified Google Business Profiles keep appearing for the same office.

The franchisor sees brand traffic but can't tell which territories produce inquiries.

How we help

What changes when you work with us

Franchise SEO is a governance problem as much as a ranking problem. We agree who owns what, draw the territory map into the site structure, and then run our local SEO service location by location, including Google Business Profile optimization for every office.

New franchisees launch with a page, a profile and a careers listing ready from the start. Send us your territory list and we'll map the overlaps.

Who handles SEO in a home care franchise: the franchisor or the franchisee?

Usually both, with a clear split. The franchisor owns the domain, brand pages, site structure and brand standards. Each franchisee supplies what only they can: local knowledge, reviews, photos, community partners and day-to-day Google Business Profile activity. SEO breaks down when nobody writes that split down, so we start there.

The FTC's guide to buying a franchise notes that franchisors may pre-approve advertisements, so this split should mirror your agreement.

How many Google Business Profiles should a home care franchise have?

One per location. Google's Business Profile guidelines say not to create more than one profile for each location, and allow a service business with separate locations, separate service areas and separate staff one profile for each. Duplicates split your reviews and confuse Google, so we find and resolve them.

We also check that each profile uses the office's real address, keeps its service area inside the territory, and links to its own location page rather than the brand homepage.

How do you build location pages at scale without creating doorway pages?

Share a template for structure and brand, then require local substance on every page. Google's spam policies describe doorway abuse as pages targeted at specific regions or cities that funnel users to one page. A location page that only swaps the city name fits that description. One with a real local team and local proof does not.

  • The office address and the towns the territory covers
  • The local owner and care team, with real photos
  • Services actually offered at that location
  • Reviews from that location's clients
  • Local partners, such as hospitals and senior centers

Franchisees fill these fields through a short intake form, and a page does not go live until they are complete. New territories launch with the same checklist, so quality holds as the system grows.

How do you stop neighboring franchisees from cannibalizing each other?

Assign every town and ZIP code to exactly one location, then make the site follow that map. Each town appears as a service area on one location page only, internal links point to the owning location, and profile service areas match. When two pages target the same town, Google has to choose, and it may not choose the one your map says.

The same FTC guide warns that even an exclusive territory may not protect a franchisee from all competition by the franchisor, including its own website. That makes the brand site's structure a territory question, not only a technical one.

What should franchise SEO reporting and recruiting look like per location?

Each franchisee sees their own location: rankings in their towns, profile calls and direction requests, reviews and inquiries. The franchisor sees a roll-up across every location, so it is easy to spot which territories are growing and which are stuck. Our dashboard tracks rankings across Google, Bing, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, with an activity log and change tracking for every page, so anyone can see what was edited on a location and when.

Recruiting works the same way. Caregivers look for work close to home, so each location gets its own careers page with its open roles and the towns it hires for, while the brand careers hub routes applicants to the right office.

Common questions

Should each franchisee have its own website?+

Usually not. Location pages on the brand domain share its authority and keep the brand consistent. Separate sites split that strength and are harder to govern. We review exceptions case by case.

Who should own each location's Google Business Profile?+

We usually suggest the franchisor holds ownership with the franchisee as a manager, so the listing and its reviews stay with the location if a franchise changes hands. Your franchise agreement takes priority.

Can franchisees write their own content?+

Yes, inside guardrails. They get approved brand copy and a short list of local fields to fill in. We edit for SEO and brand standards before anything publishes.

What happens when two territories overlap in search?+

We follow your territory map. If the map is unclear for a town, we flag it for the franchisor to decide before either location targets it.

Have you worked with a home care franchise system?+

Our closest published case is True Homecare, a single-agency client, not a franchise. We built one page per area for them and earned 36 first-page local keywords across 16 neighborhoods. A franchise uses that model per territory.

Can we start with a few locations?+

Yes. A pilot group of territories lets you compare results against the rest of the system before rolling the structure out everywhere.
